Tucson pet photographer Michael Kloth's debut book Shelter Cats was released September 7, 2010. Published by Merrell Publishers, LTD, Shelter Cats features a look at some of the beautiful inhabitants of the Benton-Franklin Humane Society, Woodford Humane Society and Tri-Cities Animal Shelter. A portion of each book sold will be donated to the ASPCA to help all homeless cats find their forever homes.

Michael earned his Master of Fine Arts degree from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, CA in 2009. His thesis work centered on photographing local adoptable animals and he continues to volunteer his time and talents to photographing adoptable animals each week. Michael is a founding member and the artist coordinator for the non-profit organization HeARTs Speak dedicated to helping all adoptable animals find homes

Michael is currently an adjunct professor of fine arts at Washington State University at the Tri-Cities campus and he is an adjunct instructor of photography at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh's online campus. Michael's award winning fine art and portrait work can regularly be seen in local exhibitions throughout the Tri-Cities, WA area and beyond.
